Available in our online store - This locally inspired design is a nice change from your common t-shirt. Anmwe Haiti translates as “Help Haiti!” in the native language of Haitian Creole. The design also includes the country motto L’Union Fait La Force which means “In Unity There Is Strength.”

After hearing stories from people on the ground in Haiti it inspired me to create a shirt from the point-of-view of the local people and how their cries for help would have been spoken. I recall seeing pictures supplies stamped with their destination on the side. The supplies were destined for Haiti to help the people recover from the earthquake. What I wanted to do was recreate that look and fill within this design. Hope you like it.

Batsira Musara means “help orphans” in the Shona language. Shona is one of the three official languages of Zimbabwe. This design and colors were inspired by the colors and flag of the Republic of Zimbabwe. Because Help End Local Poverty is trying to raise funds for an orphange in Zimbabwe I wanted this design to have an African flavor to it. Not sure I hit the mark – what do you think. I would love to get your feedback.
